creating a habit

so my blog at bloglines was one day old and i've already changed it to blogger. bloglines is great for my roaming aggregator but i wanted the ability to publish my blog to my own site - which seems to be working.

getting into the blog habit will take a bit of work for me - so these first few posts will just be me me me stuff until I get cultured ... then things may become a bit more reflective and incitive. i'm good with bad habits - smoking, nail biting, nose picking, reversing using only wing mirrors - they all took some beating ... but the good habits, they just don't gel easily. i'll work on this one. [note to self: maybe there's mass on this sunday - check with church]

long time reader - first time blogger

Cheers first of all to Deeknow for notifying me of bloglines and also the barbie last night.

It was an interesting day in hamiltron yesterday with the world xi cricket team playing the blackcaps in the final of the three test tsunami relief series. So, world xi had a dismal performance and blamed the wicket - warne was bleating on about having the venue changed from ham for the up coming series when the aussies are over. So here's what happened...

world xi : all out for 81 after 20.something overs. (first wicket fell for around 60 odd ... and then 9 wickets for 18 runs!)

blackcaps passed the world xi total for the loss of about of wickets.

Lots of sunshine and time in ham meant that they had a quick 10over innings each which was, naturally enough, a slog fest. Statistically improbably it turned out to be a draw with a classy run out on the last ball with both teams ending with amassed totals of some 170odd runs for 10 overs!

Sooooo, what's all this crap about not being able to bat on the wicket. If either team had the gumption to attacker the 50 over game like they did the 10 overs, then the other side might have been chasing a score of 750+. No excuses. One team played bad - and it warne't NZ.
